Members of the Seamariner team — Warren Burch, Managing Director, and Mike Day, Engineering Division Manager — recently attended the Chamber of Shipping’s Autumn Lunch at Southampton Football Club’s St Mary’s Stadium.
The event proved a great success, bringing together professionals from across the maritime industry. Discussions focused on Southampton’s position as a key maritime hub, recognised for its skilled workforce, diverse fleet, and extensive port infrastructure.
Speakers also explored the opportunities presented by clean maritime demonstration projects, alongside insights into how the maritime sector can draw from other industries on the journey to achieving net zero emissions.
Attendees enjoyed an informative update and Q&A session from the Chamber of Shipping Directors, who shared the organisation’s latest work across policy, external affairs, and skills development.
The afternoon concluded with a relaxed networking lunch in the Halo Suite, overlooking the pitch, with some guests also taking the opportunity to enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium.
