Offshore
Oil & Gas

Seamariner have been dedicated to the Oil & Gas industry since our early days. With a need for a wide variety of roles, it has been a great source of jobs and careers for our candidates.

Why Offshore oil & gas?

Varied Opportunities

Working in this industry goes beyond operating vessels like tugs, barges, and drilling ships; vessels such as survey also play a crucial role in the process.

For those with a passion for science, this could be a valuable opportunity to gain experience in the scientific maritime industry.

Longevity

As mentioned, despite the growing interest in renewable energy, oil and gas are still core elements to most of the world.

With new reserves of these resources being found regularly, some of which can be harvested for longer than a career, there is no end to the possible longevity of building a career in this industry.

High Earning Potential

Companies in the oil and gas industry are known for offering competitive salaries and providing specialist crew as well.

This could lead to you having more time between jobs and an overall higher income.

praised by people and companies alike

Pleased and excited to announce that tomorrow I’m making my way to Inverness to begin a new, promising chapter in my career with Scotline as a 2nd Officer. Of course I can’t make this post without saying a massive thank you to the team at Seamariner Limited, specifically Greg Livermore who not only found me my first qualified position last year, but also kept me in the loop and at sea over the past 10 months or so.

2nd Officer at Scotline Ltd

So, after 2 miserable years of freelancing and working unfashionable rotations, trying to put food on the table, I can now proudly say that I’ve officially started as Master with Ports of Jersey on the beautiful island. It’s been a rare pleasure so far and I can see it continuing for a long time to come. Big thanks to Greg Livermore at Seamariner Limited for a great service. It was a pleasure and I can’t recommend your services enough.
