Tugs & Workboats

The backbone of the industry, tugs & workboats are used by almost all our clients and are a driving force that keeps the tide of the maritime industry flowing.

Why tugs & workboats?

Abundance of Work

Our clients are always needing hardworking individuals to crew their tugs & workboats.

If you’re in the market for regular work, this industry sector will always have something to offer you.

Job satisfaction

Working on a tug or workboat, your job will never exist in isolation.

You will always either be assisting a client with a larger project or assisting another vessel. No matter what, you will be a part of a broader project.

Great Work/Life Balance

Typically, you can be expected to work onboard a workboat for a week
or two.

That said, you can also expect to see an equal share of time between trips, allowing you to spend the time freely.

praised by people and companies alike

Pleased and excited to announce that tomorrow I’m making my way to Inverness to begin a new, promising chapter in my career with Scotline as a 2nd Officer. Of course I can’t make this post without saying a massive thank you to the team at Seamariner Limited, specifically Greg Livermore who not only found me my first qualified position last year, but also kept me in the loop and at sea over the past 10 months or so.

Carl Tomlinson
2nd Officer at Scotline Ltd

So, after 2 miserable years of freelancing and working unfashionable rotations, trying to put food on the table, I can now proudly say that I’ve officially started as Master with Ports of Jersey on the beautiful island. It’s been a rare pleasure so far and I can see it continuing for a long time to come. Big thanks to Greg Livermore at Seamariner Limited for a great service. It was a pleasure and I can’t recommend your services enough.
