Warren Burch

Managing Director

Warren first started working for Seamariner in 1996 as a Recruitment Consultant. He has worked closely with all ranks in various sectors and specialised in Deck Ratings and various offshore roles.

Throughout his working career Warren has accumulated a wealth of experience and knowledge, which he is able to apply to his current role as Seamariner’s MD – working on innovative and dynamic ways of pushing the team and the company forward. Warren also heads the accounts team which enables him to have a full, hands-on overview of all activities.

Outside of work Warren supports Southampton FC, he plays for his local vets side and also enjoys a variety of other sports.


Engineering Division

Mike Day

Recruitment Manager

Mike joined Seamariner in 2002 being one of Seamariner’s longest serving employees.

Mike oversees all recruitment for Engineering Officers, ETO’s and Engine Ratings as well as Technical Recruitment of Offshore personnel. Mike is involved in all decision making within Seamariner Limited.

In Mikes spare time he enjoys festivals, live music, travel, movies and eating out.

Mike enjoys his football and supports Southampton FC. He enjoys watching Southampton whether it being a home game, away game or down the pub with friends.  He also plays 5-A-Side during the week and is in the local veterans football team for the Royal British Legion Charity.

Mike has recently become a Dad and enjoys spending time with his family.

Nelson Calvinho

Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Engineering

Joining in 2024 as an apprentice, Nelson achieved a great score in his apprenticeship while supporting the Engineering division with recruitment and onboarding, as well as liaising with seafarers and client companies.

Outside of work Nelson has interest in driving and music events.

Laura Venables

ADMINISTRATOR / Engineering

Laura joined us in late 2024 as an apprentice and is currently continuing in this role within the Engineering division. She supports the team with onboarding, recruitment, and maintaining communication with seafarers and clients. Laura has previous experience, coming from a retail, admin and travel career.

Outside of work she is a lifelong enthusiast of Formula 1 and a bit of a fanatic of horror movies. She also can be a bit of a big kid and loves to visit locations such as Lego Land with her two children when she can.

Greg LIvermore

Recruitment Manager

Greg joined Seamariner in 2007, his expertise and attention to detail in the recruitment of Deck Officers / DPO’s has ensured both Clients and Officers alike keep returning time and time again. 

Greg is a family man and enjoys spending time with his children, playing football and cricket, and metal detecting.

Scott Nicholas

Recruitment Consultant

Scott has worked in the maritime industry since 2008. Working with a variety of different vessels including oil and chemical tankers, container vessels and cruise ships. He was heavily involved in coordinating port calls, spares deliveries and large scale crew changes. In 2017 the opportunity arose for him to join our team and help grow our Deck Ratings division. Since then he has worked hard to build a strong database of skilled and reliable deck ratings with experience in a wide variety of sectors.

Outside of work Scott enjoys spending time with his young family and playing football with friends.

Lewis Soutter

Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Deck

Joining Seamariner in 2023, Lewis has quickly made his mark within the team. After achieving an exceptional score in his apprenticeship, he was promoted to Trainee Recruitment Consultant – a reflection of his dedication, determination and strong work ethic. Lewis plays an important role in supporting both clients and candidates, ensuring key positions are filled seamlessly and efficiently.

Outside of work, Lewis enjoys gaming, exploring new music, and keeping active at the gym.

Kyle Farrell

Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Deck

Since 2024, Kyle has supported Greg and Scott as a dependable assistant. He achieved a strong result in his apprenticeship, and promoted to Trainee Recruitment Consultant.

Kyle is well mannered, quick to answer the phone, and confident with IT systems.


catering Division

Jeff Cull

Recruitment Consultant

Jeff joined Seamariner in 2023 as our new catering recruitment consultant after a previous career in the construction industry. He is responsible for co-ordinating with anyone either looking for catering staff or candidates for catering jobs.

Outside of the office, Jeff is a family man who has a passion for football, both watching and playing.

Sue Banyard

HR Manager

Sue joined the team in 2016 as our Administration and Travel Assistant. She was new to the industry however, she continues to show great enthusiasm in developing her skills while learning all aspects of the business.

Sue is a great support to the whole team, providing full administrative support, responsible for all travel bookings, assisting with credit control matters.

Sue is a family person and splits her spare time between her children, doing arts and crafts with her daughter and supporting her son with his media (Marvel and DC) projects.

Paul BANYARD

ISO & Compliance Manager

Paul joined the team at the beginning of April 2025 and brings Seamariner a wealth of experience from a military career spanning over 30 years.

In his role as ISO & Compliance Manager Paul is responsible for ensuring Seamariner’s processes remain compliant with ISO, MLC and GDPR.  

Paul is responsible for delivery of training to all Seamariner staff which includes any regulatory changes.

Outside of work, Paul is kept busy by his wife Sue (HR Manager at Seamariner) who love to attend fetes and shows where Paul is the designated driver!

Sam Wilkes-holmes

Financial Controller

A new addition to the Seamariner team this April, Sam brings broad finance experience across sectors including proptech, banking, and sustainable technology. With a hands-on approach, he combines strong analytical skills with practical problem-solving.

A self-professed spreadsheet enthusiast, he enjoys travelling and is a dedicated Southampton fan.


Administration and Travel Division

Leigh Fitzpatrick

Administrator Manager

Leigh started at Seamariner in 2021 and works closely with Sue, Shannon and Lia in the Administration and Travel Department.

In her free time Leigh enjoys spending time with family and friends and paddle boarding at the beach.

Shannon Wells

Administrator / Travel & Logistics

Starting in 2024, Shannon joined Seamariner after a career in education. She has since achieved a strong result in her apprenticeship while supporting Leigh in the travel department.

In her role covering admin and travel logistics, Shannon assists with booking seafarer travel, processing expenses, and preparing seafarer contracts.

LIA GRANT

Administrator / Travel & Logistics

Lia joined the team in August 2025. Lia previously worked in the hospitality industry. In her role as admin and travel logistics, Lia supports the team by booking seafarer travel, processing expenses, and creating seafarer contracts.

Outside of work Lia enjoys spending time with family and friends, she also enjoys travelling to new places.
