Visiting Our Clients: National Oceanography Centre

Visiting our clients is always a highlight of the week for the team at Seamariner, and yesterday three of our team: Jeff Cull Catering Division Consultant, Lewis Soutter Trainee Deck Recruitment Consultant and Lia Grant Travel & Logistics Administrator had the pleasure of visiting one of our valued clients — the National Oceanography Centre (NOC), right here in Southampton.

The NOC is one of the world’s leading oceanographic institutions, carrying out pioneering research in large-scale oceanography and ocean measurement technology. Their work bridges science, government, and industry — transforming cutting-edge research and innovation into practical advice and real-world applications. The NOC also supports scientists across universities and research institutes with world-class facilities, research infrastructure, and irreplaceable data assets, helping the UK fully harness the potential of its ocean science expertise.

We’re incredibly proud to support the NOC by providing qualified seafarers who play a key role in enabling their vital work at sea. It was a pleasure to step aboard, see the vessel in action, and meet the dedicated teams behind such impactful research.

A big thank you to everyone at NOC for the warm welcome — it’s always inspiring to see the difference our partnerships make in advancing ocean science and sustainability.
